UAE Becomes Top Destination for Russian Gold Imports

As Western administrations imposed restrictions on Moscow in response to the Ukraine conflict, shutting down their marketplaces, the UAE has become a go-to hub for Russian gold. Citing customs records, the news agency reported that from February 24, 2022, to March 3, 2023, the Gulf state imported a staggering 75.7 tons of Russian gold, valued at USD 4.3 billion.
