Iran names first ambassador to UAE after Gulf

Iran has taken a significant step towards improving its relations with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by announcing the appointment of its ambassador to the country for the first time since 2016. This move comes as Gulf state relations experience a realignment, with the UAE upgrading its ties with Iran in August last year and announcing the return of its ambassador to Tehran.
