Strengthening Bilateral Relations: UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Visits Bosnia and Herzegovina
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, recently concluded his week-long working visit that included several countries, including Bosnia and Herzegovina. During his visit to Sarajevo, Sheikh Abdullah had a fruitful meeting with Bosnia and Herzegovina Foreign Minister Elmedin Konakovic, where they explored avenues of propelling cooperation across all fronts.
The meeting between Sheikh Abdullah and Foreign Minister Konakovic was marked by a warm welcome and a commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They emphasized the importance of investing in opportunities to enhance collaboration, with special emphasis on the economic and trade levels.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed the UAE's desire to strengthen relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina in a way that achieves the common interests of the two countries and the higher good of their peoples. This reflects the UAE's commitment to fostering strong diplomatic ties and partnerships with nations around the world.
Foreign Minister Konakovic, for his part, welcomed Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation, and underscored the significance of their visit in further promoting cooperation between the two countries at various levels. The meeting was also attended by Omar Saif Ghobash, Assistant Minister for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy, Saeed Mubarak Al-Hajri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Nabila Al Shamsi, the UAE's non-resident ambassadress to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The discussions between Sheikh Abdullah and Foreign Minister Konakovic were focused on exploring ways to support developmental efforts and enhance collaboration in various fields. Economic and trade cooperation were given special attention, with both sides expressing a strong interest in tapping into the opportunities available to boost bilateral relations.
