UAE Evacuates Citizens and Others from Sudan by Plane

The recent conflict in Sudan has left many people feeling unsafe and insecure, prompting them to flee the country. In this article, we hear from Nagham Hayati and Marwan Ghandour, two Sudanese nationals who were recently evacuated from the country by the United Arab Emirates.

Nagham Hayati, who left Sudan on the plane, said that "Khartoum is starting to be empty. We no longer felt secure, people were breaking into homes, they would break and loot." Her testimony highlights the danger that civilians in Sudan are facing on a daily basis, and the need for immediate action to ensure their safety.

Marwan Ghandour, another Sudanese national who was evacuated by the UAE, said that "the situation is very bad, we didn't expect it ... There was fire in the streets, fire in the houses, in the cars. After two, three days of this, the RSF had a shortage of food, water and power, so they started to invade homes." His account provides a glimpse into the realities of the conflict in Sudan and the desperation that many are feeling.

The recent conflict in Sudan has led to the death of hundreds of people and the injury of thousands more. This is due to a long-simmering power struggle between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) that finally erupted into a full-scale conflict.

The UAE's swift response to evacuate citizens and others from Sudan is a clear indication of its commitment to providing assistance to those in need. The move has been widely praised by international organizations, including the United Nations, for its humanitarian efforts.

In conclusion, the recent conflict in Sudan has highlighted the need for immediate action to ensure the safety and security of civilians. The voices of Nagham Hayati and Marwan Ghandour provide a glimpse into the realities of the situation on the ground and the urgency of the situation. The UAE's evacuation of citizens and others from Sudan is a critical step towards providing much-needed assistance
