UAE evacuates citizens from Sudan amid crisis

 

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has recently conducted a humanitarian operation to evacuate its citizens and people of other nationalities from Sudan, which has been undergoing a crisis situation. According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, the UAE government prioritised securing the safe exit of the most vulnerable groups, including women, children, the elderly, the sick, and people with disabilities.

The evacuation operation not only included UAE citizens but also people of 19 different nationalities, who will be hosted in the UAE before they are flown to their home countries.
