UAE's Successful Evacuation Operation from Sudan Highlights its Strong Humanitarian Values

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to humanitarian efforts and global solidarity through its recent successful evacuation operation in Sudan. In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC), it was confirmed that 253 nationals from several countries in Sudan had been safely evacuated over the past two days. This brings the total number of evacuation planes arriving from Sudan to nine, with a total of 997 people brought to safety since 29 April.

What sets this evacuation operation apart is the UAE's priority of evacuating the most vulnerable groups, including the sick, children, the elderly, and women. The country's commitment to providing protection for civilians and facilitating aid and assistance to countries in times of need has been demonstrated time and time again, and this operation is yet another testament to that commitment.

The UAE's efforts did not stop with the evacuation operation, as the country also provided hosting and care services to the evacuees after their evacuation and stay in the city of Port Sudan. The UAE hosted nationals from approximately 26 different countries, providing all necessary care services while they are in the UAE prior to returning to their home countries.

Furthermore, the UAE's commitment to working with its partners and the international community to achieve all that serves the interests of the Sudanese people is also evident in its statement. The MoFAIC stressed the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at a ceasefire, a return to the political framework and dialogue, and advancing in the transitional phase to reach the desired political stability and security in Sudan.

The UAE's evacuation operation from Sudan is a testament to the country's humanitarian commitment and its dedication to strengthening global cooperation and solidarity. The UAE's efforts to protect civilians and facilitate aid and assistance to countries in times of need continue to inspire and provide hope to many around the world. The world needs more acts of kindness and humanity like this to build a better future for all.
